Life of an online job worker

My name is Jack, and here is my story and reasons why I chose to be a freelancer and a freelancing agent and gave my old work life up. I was a media presenter for more than 2 decades, and now I am enjoying the life of an online job worker, while I still do the thing I love the most, and that is presenting.

In my old job, there were a lot of ups and downs, especially when you really want to earn more than what you are earning from your own salary as a presenter. There are a lot of things that you really need to do, like get a couple or more sponsorship deals and commercials that will help your radio or TV show running, and as a presenter, it is a privilege that we can use the broadcasting company’s name and the show that I was handling to propose advertising terms to some clients. It is usually the job of an account executive from broadcast companies, but presenters have the option to do the same jobs as them as well so that presenters can get some additional earnings which is usually 10-15% of the total value of the commercial deal that is closed by the negotiating party, in this case is me that does that job.

It is not just long ago that I heard about online job, and being an old guy, I asked myself as to what does “online job” means, and this is because the term is new to me. So I asked one of my trainees and a close friend about it, which ironically happens to be an online freelance writer, and he explained to me how does everything works and how it will work for me as well since that I am a presenter. At first he gave me a task to record a short audio clip that’s needed by a client, and that the results was instantaneous, because he sealed the deal as soon as he submitted it and the next thing I know, I was recording an eBook and playing as the story teller for the eBook of his client. My friend was honest enough to give my all my earnings from what I did, and I was surprised that I earned something that big all because I used what I really know on doing an online job.

But then, I tried to dismiss the thought because I was really busy with what I was doing, and then realized that I can earn a lot more than what I can earn from getting advertising deals for my show from just reading eBooks for freelancing online jobs, and gave it a try again, and again it never ceased to amaze me that I have again earned, even more than what I am earning as a presenter without the closed advertising deals that I needed to do before so that I can earn extra.

Now I am enjoying my day-off from my radio presenting work, carrying a very good microphone that I bought from the earnings from my recordings, and plan to do this more often as it gives me the freedom to do this anytime that I wanted, as long as I stick to the deadline that a client has asked me to deliver the recordings.
